Montreal is the undisputed festival capital of North America — a city that celebrates culture in every season.

The Festival Capital

A City That Never Stops Celebrating

No city in North America celebrates culture quite like Montreal. From late spring through early fall, the city transforms into a non-stop celebration of music, comedy, film, art, and food. The Quartier des Spectacles — Montreal's dedicated entertainment district — becomes the beating heart of it all, hosting free outdoor concerts, installations, and performances that draw millions of visitors each year.

But festivals aren't just a summer affair. Montreal's cultural calendar runs year-round, with winter events like Igloofest and Montréal en Lumière proving that cold weather only fuels the city's creative spirit.
